Tequila
has been resident at the London's legendary Planet Angel since their
first solo party in June 2000 where he pioneered a blend of uplifting
trance, funky beats and hard dance which moulded the musical policy
of the entire party. It widened the appeal of the fledgling club,
and in no small part contributed its current popularity.
Tequila
now bangs it out monthly to a massively appreciative crowd on two
dancefloors - often playing one of his breathtaking trance sets
on the back of a peak-time funky breaks and house work-out with
barely five minutes to catch his breath.
After 7 years behind the decks Tequila has a wide DJ experience,
having played everywhere from filthy squats to Nation in Washington
DC - supporting Dave Seaman and Seb Fontaine. He's played sets as
short as 15 minutes, and as long as 12 hours. He specialises in
funky breaks, upfront house, melodic trance and hard dance.
His collection also spans hard house, nu-skool breaks, tech-house,
techno, big beat, progressive, chill-out and more, expressing an
enthusiasm and a passion for the scene which transcends musical
boundaries. Over the past year and a half Tequila has been honing
his skills in the dark art of production. After featuring as 'Massive
Release of the Week' on ID&T radio with his first release, 'Vowel
Movement,' he has just finished his second - a remix of the Godskitchen
anthem 'Gamma Storm' to be released on Magic Beans Records. This
uplifting 303 monster is already setting fire to the few dance-floors
in London lucky enough to have heard it...
