DJ Craig C., also known as Craig Christensen, started his career in Denver in 1990 in a small club called the Compound. Since then he has appeared in clubs all over the world -- the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Switzerland, Jersey and Italy. He has also recorded and produced for such artists as Musiq Soul-child and Norma Jean Wright (of Chic Fame) and remixed for artists like Sandy Rivera, Ashanti and The Scissor Sisters. He's also the man behind the dance floor gem "I Wish I Didn't Miss You Anymore" by Angie Stone. While DJing at the Compound, Craig crossed paths with DJ Dealer and in no time, with their combined enthusiasm for the scene they started producing the music that they loved to play under the name The Pound Boys. The Boys' first big break came when they were asked to do remixes of Joi Cardwell's "You've Got To Pray" (Eightball Records) - this song reached Number 1 on the U.S. Billboard Dance Chart as well as many other remixes for labels such as MCA, Arista, Jive, Warner Bros., Sony, Azuli, King St.
Always looking for more out of the music, after 10 years Craig decided to leave his Pound Boys roots and pursue new directions...
Now as a solo artist Craig combines his knowledge of classic soul, jazz and dance with his enthusiasm for new sounds to create music that is still soulful but pushes the boundaries.
