COSMO

With her record label Bitches Brew, upcoming releases as a producer and a forthcoming compilation on French label Yellow, Cosmo is taking her music to another level.

Cosmo's new record label with Nikki Lucas, Bitches Brew, features an eclectic mix of dance music. Their first release, Jinadu's "Natural Thing", has been garnering major radio, club and press support and Ade Sose & Ibile's "Ka Ranti" is set to do the same. The third release "The Real Thing" by Bambu, is a co-production of Cosmo's and has already been receiving heavy play from the DJ elite. Produced by Ben Mitchell (Mr. Hermano), Cosmo and Nicolas Matar, "The Real Thing" is a modern dance floor version of the Stevie Wonder penned classic originally performed by Sergio Mendes.

Cosmo is no stranger to the production world. She produced and wrote "Loneliness" under the moniker Ch'i for Tommy Musto's label Suburban, worked with Danny Wang as Light Fantastic and released "Lost in C Minor" on German label Playhouse. Along with Ben Mitchell and Gav Smith she produced and wrote "R U Comin" as Tidal for Disorient. Watch out for Cosmo's new Ch'i single on Bitches Brew later this year.

After her incredible DJ set at their party in Miami last March, Yellow commissioned Cosmo to compile and mix a CD for a new series featuring compilations by Francois K, DJ Gregory and Julien Jabre. Along with David Mancuso she co-produced the critically acclaimed "David Mancuso presents The Loft" volumes on Nuphonic and released her mix CD "New York Afterhours: A Later Shade of Deep" on Nervous Records in 1998.
