CLARA DA COSTA

CLARA DA COSTA aka MISS BISTO

If your'e trying to do somrthing different with your night, you need to check out the skills of CLARA DA COSTA.

Her unique style of tough funky house with massive latin influences, makes her a breath of fresh air in a stagnating scene. She has already stunned crowds over the years at UK clubs such as Love 2 Be, Shindig, Garlands Colours, Clockwork Orange and with gigs in Australia, Malaysia, Germany, Switzerland, Cyprus, South Africa under her belt, she finally looks set to join the ranks of some of the worlds most popular Djs.

Success, however has not come over night. Her eight year residency at Ibiza's Es Paradis Terrenal from 1992 - 2000 ( you will always still catch her playing at the opening parties every year ), has bought her to the attention of thousands of commited clubbers and has been an ideal place to develop her talent for making people dance and most importantly, smile.

Her stint as presenter of the Mixmag Sunday Roast show in Ibiza, her diary for The Sun newspaperand her own produtions (especially the punchy "Barefoot Bandit " and Latin Baila Con Migo which Carl Cox charted at no 2 in muzik mag summer 2001), have demonsrated her adaptability and ability to take undreground dance music to a wider audience.

Her hard graft and individual style are finally paying off as the volume of Dj bookings around the UK start to reflect her talent and ear for a damn good tune.

Her most recent success comes in the form of her own artists management company called Green Turtle Management, plus two record labels www.greenturtlerecordings.com ( Latin / live / carnival outlet ) www.dopaminerecordings.com ( electronic / electro / gritty house ) . Both labels have just been launched at the beginning of 2003 putting out productions from all her artists which she currently manages such as KASHMIR, TUESDAYS CHILD ( aka Rob Rhythm Masters ), DJ TRIPPLE A, BAD NUZE ( r&b ) SOLE SOUL (smooth Us house duo ) and of course her own material which she both writes regularly sings on too!

In short, CLARA DA COSTA plays underground dance music the way it should be - cool, credible but instantly accessible . Her fresh sound, immaculate mixing skills and down-to-earth nature make her an instant hit with clubbers the world over.

You can also catch CLARA DA COSTA at her new monthly residency for club night Heritage on Saturdays at the infamous Mint Club in Leeds .
